I never have an amount that I measure out when it comes to the ingredients, I just taste test the juice every time I add something.
As I do not have a juicer, and considering I am not big on taking out a lot of the fruit and veg that I would otherwise have, I use a blender or food processor to make this 'juice'.

Ingredients:
  • Pineapple
  • Kale (red or green)
  • Cucumber (continental is sweeter, so I use this to counteract the bitterness of the celery)
  • Celery



Method:
  • Cut pineapple and cucumber into cubes.
  • Cut the leaves away from the kale stalks.
  • Slice the celery.
  • Blend the kale leaves, pineapple, cucumber and celery together and, if needed, add a bit of water.
  • The mixture will have bits in it. If this is undesired, just strain the juice and enjoy!

  • Two teaspoons cocoa powder
  • One teaspoon hot water
  • One cup non-dairy milk
  • Four tablespoons frozen blueberries
  • One teaspoon white sugar
  • Four ice cubes

Method:
  • Spoon cocoa powder into a small vessel and mix it with the hot water. Leave to dissolve.
  • Once the cocoa mixture is done, pour it into a blender along with the milk, blueberries, sugar and ice cubes. Blend until smooth, or for roughly 35 seconds.
  • Pour mixture into glasses and enjoy!

  • One banana, cut into large chunks
  • 1/2 green apple, skin left on and cut into small cubes
  • 1/4 pear, skin left on and cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 kiwi fruit, fruit removed from skin
  • 1 cup watermelon, cubed into large chunks
  • 1/2 cup of pineapple (optional), cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup dried dates
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa



(*Serves three depending on how much water is used and whether tinned or fresh fruit is used*)


Method:
  • Blend dried dates, banana and a little water together until there are no chunks of banana and the dates have been well cut up.
  • Add the apple, blend again.
  • Add the pear, blend again.
  • Add the kiwi fruit, blend again.
  • Add watermelon, blend again.
  • If using, add pineapple, blend again.
  • Add vanilla and cinnamon, blend again.
  • Pour mixture into a glass and sprinkle cocoa over the top.
