We all have different reasons why our skin is marked, and some reasons we aren't so comfortable with. They could be a constant reminder of something that sickens you or perhaps they could be liberating scars.
Either way, we also have our own reasons for wanting to rid them from our lives.

With products like Bio-Oil and other chemically enhanced mixtures, we are essentially forced to use something that may fix one problem but cause another, which we then have to treat with yet another chemically enhanced product.
And the cycle goes on and on with not much of an end in sight.

However, now that home remedies have started to become popular again, we can now look toward the future of our problems with hope, rather than uncertainty.

There are many good solutions for scars, as I will will continue to find and post, but one that I am currently using is a mixture of apple cider vinegar.

Apple cider vinegar is well-known as a treatment for many problems, inside the body and out, so this doesn't surprise most people. This product helps to heal scars through its acidic nature, which exfoliates and removes dead skin cells. Through this process, new skin cells are formed and this helps to reduce the appearance of scars. This product also promotes healthy skin texture by balancing the skins pH level.

There are a few ways in which you can use this product to reduce the appearance of scars on your body, but two mixtures which I have found to be successful will be as follows:

  1. Mix water and organic, raw and unfiltered apple cider vinegar in equal parts (say, 1/4 cup of each which can be stored in a sealed container and used whenever needed). Dip a cotton ball or anything else that will work efficiently into the mixture and apply it to the scar. Leave for five minutes and then simply rinse with water. For best results, do this once daily.
  2. Mix two tablespoons of organic, raw and unfiltered apple cider vinegar with 2/3 cup of water and one teaspoon of honey (organic and raw, sourced from appropriate and reliable places which do not torture the bees) in a sealed container. Apply the mixture to the scar and leave it on for 30 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. For best results, again, use this once daily.
